Natural Acne Treatment

Just the thought of it makes a lot of people sick. It can really be confusing to pick the right one considering the number of acne treatments available in the market today. You may be asking yourself which product to buy.  Try a more natural acne treatment instead. These treatments only use natural ingredients so they are chemical-free.

The basic thing to consider before trying out any acne solution is your diet. The treatments may not work if your diet is not healthy at all. You can only clear acne if you start inside out. Drink eight 8 ounce glasses per day to make certain that you are well hydrated. Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables everyday. Stay away from greasy and oily foods.

Once your meals are in balance, one of the most common natural acne treatments is adding a bit more zinc to your diet. Zinc may help treat acne by controlling inflammation. Zinc can help you recover fast from injuries and it can also aid in the treatment of wounds. There are zinc supplements that you can have. These are usually taken with meals, as zinc can cause nausea.

There’s another generally used natural acne treatment known as tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is extracted from the leaves of tea tree, a plant native to Australia. It is known for being antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral. It is found in several over the counter products such as astringents and facial washes. You can also use tea tree oil to make your own facial wash. Dilute it carefully though, it must be nine parts water and just one part tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is very powerful and should only be used diluted; You must never put it directly on your skin.

You may also use citrus fruits – as natural acne treatment. Lemon juice can also be used to clear breakouts. Simply apply it directly on the affected area. Orange peels can also be used to make a mask. This helps clear a breakout. Both treatments work because of their acidic property. It actually helps kill the acne-causing bacteria. The inflammation is minimized by the lemon juice and the orange peel cleanses the area affected.

Cucumber is a gentle toner and a natural acne treatment. If you have acne that won’t go away, try a grated cucumber mask for twenty minutes every day for a week on persistent spots to reduce redness and tone your skin. The mask can be used on the breakouts on your face, and also on your eyes and neck.

Another good natural acne treatment you can use is garlic. Eating garlic or rubbing it directly on your skin can help get rid of acne because of its antibacterial properties. You can clear that acne breakout by rubbing a clove of garlic directly on the affected area. Eat three seeds of garlic everyday for three months to cleanse and detoxify your bloodstream. This allows oxygen to get to your skin easily.

People of all ages have to deal with acne. Over the counter acne remedies are expensive and they don’t work on everyone. Take a quick look at your kitchen and improve your diet. This helps clear acne. Also, using a natural acne treatment is cheap and safe.
