There are many different ways to use toothpaste as one of the natural cures for acne. There are those that believe that just a touch applied to the acne area cures the acne. Others believe that mixing toothpaste with various ingredients to form a mixture works better. Some people prefer to wash their face with salt water, leave it on for a while, add more salt until their face is covered in salt, then wash off the mixture. The next step is to use the toothpaste on the acne affected areas then leave on for several hours. Most prefer to leave it on overnight.
Many natural cures for acne involve several steps and often use many different ingredients. These remedies were not mixed with toothpaste. Steps often involved just cleaning the areas then rinsing with cold water. After the last step toothpaste was most often applied.

Just because urine is not a toxic substance does not mean it should be used as a remedy for any condition. This remedy or myth is said to have existed many years ago among Indian mystics and was associated with the tantric philosophy. Urine was massaged over the infected areas and left on overnight.
Another home remedy is apple cider vinegar diluted with water. At times the applied cider vinegar was combined with a variety of other ingredients in addition to honey and jojoba oil. This remedy is still in its trial and error phase as some claim it works where others proved it to be unsuccessful. If you have sensitive skin it would be best to avoid this remedy since the acidic content in apple cider vinegar will dry skin often times causing flaking
